Mini Twist for Heatless Curls (Part 1)

Mini Twist for Heatless Curls (Part 2)

Until recently, I thought the only way to get defined curls was either using a curling iron with high heat or using rollers all night. We all know that constant heat on your hair is damaging and rollers at night are painful!! Well I stumbled upon a new way to get defined curls without shrinkage that last for at least a week if maintained properly.

MINI TWISTS!!

This may not be new to you, but it was definitely new to me. I’ve always known that twisting your hair at night would give crinkles, but i usually made the twist too big and it turned out wavy instead of curly. My sister told me to make the twists smaller and that’s exactly what I did.

The key is size and products used. The holding products can make or break your hair.

Now, the GREAT thing about Mini Twists is that this could be a 2 in 1 style. Where you can wear your mini twists (which can be styled differently ways like box braids) for 1-2 weeks. Then, unravel your twists for some luscious curls!!

Whenever you are removing your twists, be careful not tangle and knot your hair because we do not want any unnecessary hair loss or damage. Once the twists are unraveled, use a hair pick to fluff near the roots to make sure the parts are not visible from the mini twists! After this, you are set!! Enjoy your beautiful hair!

Watch the Youtube videos posted above for a visual demonstration. One video is the instructional on mini twists and the other is removing the mini twists. Hope you enjoy!
